Cpanel

If you are a web developer and looking to purchase web hosting from companies, one of the easiest ways to manage and administer to your web sites is through a back end platform called Cpanel.

Cpanel is a program now being used by a majority of small web site owners to control key features of their web hosting account.  Many important features that cpanel makes easy to perform are adding domains, creating email addresses, working with .php, working with SQL databases and to check statistics of your web site.  These important features can help your web sites be easily administered to and perform effectively.

Cpanel is extremely easy to use.  You don’t have to be technical or a computer programmer to use it.  It is mainly point and click making it easy for anyone to host their own web site online.

Cpanel is very affordable and usually comes free with the web hosting fee.  In fact, most web site hosting companies charge less than $10 per month for feature rich web site packages. One of the great aspects of Cpanel is that it has become the small package industry standard so you can choose among many web site companies and still be able to use Cpanel  If you are a web developer and looking for an extremely easy and effective way to manage your web sites, check out Cpanel.

I have finally have everything set up for my new hosting business.  This wil be my second foray into the world of Web Hosting.  Currently the site does not look like much, but I have all of the back end working.  I have two different plans a Starter and a Basic.

The Starter package is a true starter, 100mb and 2000mb of bandwidth.  The cost is a low $2.50 per month.

The Basic is 250mb and 5000mb of bandwidth, for a cost of $5 per month.

After I receive a few more sign ups I am going to set up a referral benfits.  Wish me luck everyone, and check out the very sparse site at www.bluenoserhosting.com

My New Direction

At this point in my Webmaster Career I have decided to steer away from eCommerce in offline goods. I currently don’t have the room to warehouse any interesting products that I would enjoy selling. Now you are going to tell me, “What about drop shipping?”.

Well the fact is if you are going to make any money using drop shipping you are going to have to spend much more time than I have at the moment. It is not as easy thing to get into and there are a lot fo scam artists out there that are just trying to get your money. Basically that is all that I figured out in the last year of my research into the subject.

Now I am not saying that you can’t make money at it, I am just saying that it is not what I am looking into getting into at the moment.

So what am I getting into. Well developing sites, and selling them. I have a couple that I am working on that are going to be my masters and then in about 6 months I am going to make copies, market the copies and sell them in another few months. It is a bunch of work, but with the resulting advertising opportunities that my master site will offer me will allow me to make a modest income that will support my business. I don’t plan on quitting my day job anytime soon, but this will be good drinkin’ money :)

Another one of my projects is going to be a very small hosting business. This will be mainly for friends and family and be very small. I tried the hosting route once before, but it is a lot of work, and the mistakes that I made hurt. So I am going to get into it again, knowing my mistakes and learning from them.

When my Hosting company is ready I will announce it here, it will have the Bluenoser name like all of my other main sites

For now, talk to you later

I have started the initial stages of opening a hosting service.  The prices that I am thinking of a the moment will start at $5 for a basic account and then go up to $15 for a more involved account.  These prices are in Canadian Dollars.  However we will be able to do custom packages for anyone that is intertested.

At the moment Ido not have the ability to sell domains through my site, but that will come eventually.  I have a good reseller account with Enom to do this.  So if you don’t have a domain I can get you one for much cheaper than most sell them for, and will even offer them for free if you pay up front for a year.

When the site is complete and ready for customers I will let you know, however in the meantime if you are looking for hosting give me a shout and I will try to set something up for you.
