I have finially added the very necessary contact page.
Now if you want to contact me regarding this site it is easy as pie. When you use the form, which is a free Wordpress plugin from Mike Cherim, I get an email that I will be sure to respond to ASAP. But I, like everyone, HATE spam so don’t try to sell me something. You can always give me something for free and I will review it. But I won’t give a recommendation to something that sucks
Happy Blogging
One of the ways that make money online is by using affiliates. One of the ones that I have used since the beginning is Amazon. Back in the day I made a lot of money with Amazon, but lately I have been using it as a filler of sorts. If I see something neat I will link to it and use my aff-id.
Anyway, what I have done now is get paid in Gift Certificates. The last couple of payouts netted me about $70 in gift certificates. So last night I decided to do some cleaning of my wishlist. Some of the books have been in there a while and others I just recently added. Most are regarding business and marketing in general like The Dip
by Seth Godin, others are just for fun like the book by Drew Curtis of Fark.

The more that I do reading other blogs and working on the design of some of my other sites I am starting to realize that this site is really lame. I really have to do something about the look of this place.
Most of my readers are via RSS, so I am sure that YOU don’t even know what the place looks like. But I think that if I want to build my readership I need to look much “cooler”.
Now I am not sure what to do about this.
There are a number of cool free ones out there, but they all have those stupid “sponsored” links at the bottom of them and make the entire site look un-professional. Some that would be great for a personal site, but not a site like this where I am trying to help people out by learning about my problems with making money online by not doing what I do….
Anyway, I am thinking about starting a contest on Namepros or another site like that where they can make me up a 2.0 type theme. Or maybe I will get a buddy to do it for me. What ever I decide it is going to happen in the very start of the New Year.
I was thinking about changing around my hosting as I mentioned in another post (here) and have decided that I am going to make the change before the end of the month and then cancel the account in September.
This is going to give me sometime to find the errors and transfer all of my sites.
So if you see some crazy stuff happening let me know.
I am trying to think of ways to minimize my bills and maximize my simplicity. Basically I want to save money and live by my favorite (and probably every Engineer’s) principle KISS (Keep It Simple STUPID).
Right now I am running some of my sites on different hosting companies. I have a couple of sites running on a reseller account from one company. I think that I am going to move ALL of my sites to the reseller. None of them are big in terms of resource hogs at the moment, and the way that my time scheduling is going and the weather is, I doubt that I am going to be spending a lot of time to build them up and MAKE them hogs.
Here is my headache however. One of the sites that I have to move is this one. I have had it on this account since time immortal, but it is a expense that I really don’t need. My worry is that I am going to forget to set something up correctly in the move. I have a lot of different scripts running on difference sub-domains. Not that any of these are really making any money, I just hate seeing errors when I look at my stats. Especially when the errors are my fault.
Anyway, that is enough rambling for now, I will be sure to let you faithful readers know when I am about to make the big move. I am hoping to get it done by the end of August.
