My first Mobile site

I just bought a new site, the transaction should be complete by the end of the day today.  Can’t wait, I figure that the continued popularity in mobile phones will ensure that I will get a good ROI on the site.  However the affiliate program is one that I haven’t used before, and until I get complete control over the site I doubt that I will know if I can use something like CJ or Azoogle.

The other thing about the site, which kept the cost down, is that it is completely NEW.  Sure I have to market it, get the traffic, etc.  But the way the site looks right now is very slick, and when I get the chance I will be adding more to it.  Also I have multiple ideas that I am going to give a try to.

I will keep you updated to the progress of the site.  It is a very cool name and you should be seeing a lot more of it around :D

I just checked out the Google index for Webmaster Books, and it is over 40 pages.  Not bad for a site that I have done nothing with since I installed the script.  All I did for links was place one in the footer of this page and the header of the forum.

I think that it is time that I modified the default layout, it is not that nice and doesn’t “mesh” nicely with the rest of the sites.  Maybe I will use that as the starting point for my entire Bluenoser network of sites. hmmm I think that is the best idea that I have had in a long time ;)

Well I will just have to add that to the list of things to do, right after everything else, unless something on my list is less fun :)

PS I really have to get to the re-design, I am finding that the blog is really loading slow since I moved the sidebar over.  Not sure why that would make a huge difference, but anyway.  New CSS style is a coming, I think that I will start off with the default WordPress style for everything and go from there.  That would be easier than doing all of the CSS from start.

No More Articles

I have decided that it is time to move Bluenoser.net out of the Article resource stream to my own personal soap box for the stuff I do online.  However I still like writing articles and I still read a lot of good ones.  So what I am going to do is post the articles over at The Bluenoser Forums.  This way they can be nicely organized and if you want to comment on them, or elaborate on them you can very easily.

I will also be using Bluenoser Forums as the test bed for any and all updates to phpBB, I am hoping that they come out with the first Release Canidate or better yet the final release of phpBB3.  I have seen some Beta sites and really like it.  It is going to be a huge improvement on phpBB2 however it is still worlds away from the functionality of VB.  But hey, how can you expect a free program to be as good as a paid one.

So in closing the articles aren’t leaving altogether, they are simply moving on to a better place, and Bluenoser.net is going to be turned into the place where I can talk about everything that I do, and the experiences that I have while I continue on my webmastering journey on a part-time basis……Shit that sounded sappy.

Started using CJ

I have decided that it is time for me to try something new, and hopefully something that will not be time critical.  So I opened a CJ account and have been reviewing products for the last couple of days.  There are a lot of potential in a lot of them.  For one some companies have HUGE payouts, up to $100 and more, while others have very interesting products.

Right now I am not sure how to make it work, I think that I am going to try to find a high paying product and make a fancy entry page.  To get traffic I will try two methods, one will be bulk traffic from Bluenoser Traffic then if I get at least a 1% conversion, or even a .5% conversion I will try Adwords or YPN.  If I can get a .5% conversion with bulk pop-unders I know that I can do better with more targetted advertising.

I will keep everyone up to date with my progress, I still haven’t found the product that I think is worth the time.

Using Word for Your Business

If you have a computer at home, you should look into using MS Word for your business tasks.  Most people will find that MS Word is one of the most practical applications ever created.  No matter what your business niche or industry you are in, you can easily use MS Word.

MS Word is word processing software that enables you to create documents quickly and easily.  As MS Word has evolved it has gotten much more easier to create professional letters, resume and college papers.  MS Word is extremely intuitive to use and if you are not into technology, you shouldn’t have a problem using MS Word. With a few minutes of time, you can start creating professional looking documents.

MS Word has dozens of great features; however some of the features that stand out are spell check and grammar check.  Not sure if a word you typed is spelled correctly, ask the spell checker.  The spell checker will determine if your word is correct.  If it is not, it will give you a list of choices to pick from.  The same thing goes with the grammar checking function.  You can easily find out if your sentences are grammatically correct.

MS Word is included with MS Office Suite which also includes Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.  A great part of the Office suite is that these applications can be integrated with each other.  Meaning, you can add a spread sheet onto your document or easily send your document to Outlook so that it can be emailed.  If you are looking for a great way to get your writing tasks completed, look into using MS Word.
