One of the ways that I find helpful to kick start a forum, whether it is now dead or just getting off the ground is to use a Post Exchange System. A really good system that I have been using for about a month is Post Fusion from the owners of AdminFusion. This system is completely automated and allows you to post in your free time.

The advantage of post exchange is that it is cheap. There are a lot of paid posting services out there at the moment, but very few of them produce posts that don’t look paid. Therefore another advantage of a post exchange is the people that are doing the posts usually pick forums that they are interested in. Another thing that PostFusion does is leave the moderation of the posts in your forum up to you. So if someone is just posting usless drivel you have the right to delete those posts. On top of that, if the same person does it on multiple forums then they are banned from the system.

So, in closing if you have a forum that you want to promote check out PostFusion and add it to their list, make some posts and get some in return. I have heard that http://www.theebayforum.com/forum/, currently at the top of the list is really easy to post in and the admin is great

I have figured out the majority of the bugs in my first version of the counter and I will be getting ready to release the BETA version in a very short while.

I am testing it on www.superfreeforums.com so it is on ever persons forum, and every page of every forum.  This should be a decent load test since there are about 50 active forums there.

In the BETA version there will be only one style available, but in the second release the user will be able to choose the colour of both the background and the text, and from there I will have numerous different pics for the background instead of just a plain colour.  The release should be in a week or so.

I have decided to give the counter a shot in the real world, I will not be advertising teh tool very much until I make it lookg better, but you can be the first to try it out.  Also if you decide to put it on your site and then want the “better” version that is fine, you will NOT lose the count

Now how much does toilet paper really cost?  I am asking this relatively strange question because I just had a bad TP experience.  Basically I was forced to use single ply sandpaper on my delicate behind.

Yes forced, you really don’t always get to choose your locale, so I went to a public toilet in a relatively fancy coffee shop.  I will not name names since all in all I like the place so I would hate for people not to go their because of the toilet paper that they use.

So again I say, how much does it cost, not a hell of a lot is the answer.  I would rather pay a couple of pennies more for my coffee so that in the off chance that I have to go to the washroom I will have the pleasure to use 2ply SOFT TP.

For the cost difference it would really make one of their more regular customers MUCH MUCH more happy.
