This webmaster work is starting to get addictive.  Every once in a while I think that I have been spending too much time online, looking out for prospects, updating my sites, adding content, links etc… So what I do is I take a step back and then decide to start to sell off my smaller sites.  Ususally I just sell them to friends to cover my costs.  But then I have some money in my PP account and I find myself on the hunt for new sites.

 Then in a weeks time I will then realize that I am spending too much time.  It is really hard to stop, there is so much opportunity out there, and all you have to do is work, read, learn and network.  I have also found my self starting new blogs.  I have had a personal one for a very long time, but that is mainly just to keep family and friends up to date on what I am up to.  However I have recently started another blog that is for my rants, that seem to be getting more plentiful lately.  And finially my forum, which in itself takes about 60% of my free time.

So after reading that you may think that I am a lost case, well I beg to differ.  I have made a compromise with myself, my web work, and the most important participant, my girlfriend.  I have decided to limit my online work to 15 hours a week.  10 during the week and 5 on weekends.  That I hope will bring a better balance to my life, day job and side job.

If anyone else out there have had similar issues I would like to know how you solved them, or maybe you just decided to live with them

God’s Debris is a book that really makes a person think.  It is also FREE Now.  If you think that this is a scam check out the ad that is on Dilbert.com.

I actually bought this book in paper form before I ever found out that I could get it for free and I don’t regret paying for it at all.  It is a short book but if you are someone that doesn’t have a very open mind you may find it disturbing.

Adams takes you through the meaning of life, and he does it by simply stating the simplest answer is always right.  It will make you think, and make you question just about everything that you know.  And that is the best part of the book, it makes you take nothing for granted.

So if you are bored at work this is a great book to pass the time because you can read it right on the computer screen.

 

It has begun, I have started a blog.  I think that the world may be about to end.

I was actually bored last night and my girlfriend was getting tired of hearing me rant, so I have started this here site so that she doesn’t have to hear about it, and everyone here gets to

I will probably be posting some useful stuff here to, not just rants, so I hope that you find that stuff interesting.  I have gathered a wide range of knowledge in my short life from health, sports, computers, website admin, and of course Electrical stuff.

Recently I have been working on ways to reduce the amount of time that I spend on my webmaster persuits.  Mostly I am trying to focus my energy on things that I am more interested in.  Something that I have learned in my first year is that I enjoy developing my sites more than maintaining them.

 The site that I am thinking of selling is BluenoserLinks, it is the first site that I started when I thought about making money online.  It is a general purpose directory that has grown to have 10000 entries in one year.  I think that I need to sell it simply because I do not have the time that I once did to review all of the free entries that are coming in.  It is not really fair to have a free entry option and NOT review them.  Right now I am about 3 weeks behind and it would take a full 10hours to review them all.

 Currently over the past 6 months I have been making a modest sum of $100 per month of pure profit.  This comes mainly from paid express reviews.  Each review costs $5 and it is paid through Paypal.  If you are interested in a purchasing a site that has even greater potential to make money please give me an offer.  I am open to all offers over $1200 USD.

In the next month or so I will be starting an auction at the Webmaster forums online and when I do I will make sure to let everyone here know where you can find the auction so that you will not miss out.
